Immersive Space Dortmunder U

A good look into the engine room of immersive art. The technology is far more involved than one might imagine at first glance. Five projectors and two graphics cards with 24GB each are in use. The technical and artistic steps up to a working art installation are every bit as complex. A great deal of software has to be written. Mapping the projection across five projectors has challenges all of its own. Everything was programmed from scratch by hand and fitted to the requirements. The artistic process, and the questioning of many convictions held by a painter, is exciting and makes you grow.
